MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OUR CLIENTS BY VOLUNTEERING WITH US!
Literacy instructors and tutors have the opportunity to teach or tutor adult English language learners as they develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Volunteers can either teach a regular class, a small group, or work individually with students. Classes meet Monday-Saturday mornings.
Literacy training is provided, including 12 hours of ELL training through Literacy Works and ongoing observation of staff instructors and seasoned volunteers. Volunteers are also given the opportunity to network with fellow volunteers at ongoing supplemental trainings offered through Literacy Works and IAC’s literacy department.
