Our annual gala, themed “One Community, Many Voices” took place on Sunday, September 29th at the Chicago Marriot Oakbrook.  It truly was an evening of reflection, inspiration, delectable food, entertainment and a fabulous silent auction.  We exceeded our attendance goal with over 300 in attendance.  All proceeds from the gala will go to support our general operations.

Ravi Baichwal co-anchor of the ABC Weekend News did an outstanding job as our MC for the evening, Dr. Masum Momaya our Keynote Speaker shared an informational and inspiring message that took us on a journey of Indian immigrants and Indian Americans throughout history. Entertainment was provided by comedian Anish Shah and we were all moved by the testimonial and beautiful dance performance of our own Adult Literacy teacher Laksha Dantran
